Nottingham Forest’s 26-year-old midfielder, Ryan Yates, has expressed that he continues to hold aspirations of playing for England. He has contributed to Forest’s strong beginning to their Premier League campaign. “It’s always a possibility, it is every young boy’s dream to play for their country,” he said. “I feel like I am playing really well, but I feel like I can give even more.” Yates stated, “I feel I have got plenty more to come. I honestly take each day as it comes, but I want to keep improving and I never say never to anything.” He reflected on his past loan periods, adding, “I just look back when I was on loan at Barrow, Scunthorpe and Shrewsbury and now I am playing in the Premier League with Forest, third season, anything is possible because there were some dark times when I was on loan.” Yates believes his performance has enhanced since Forest secured promotion to the Premier League in 2022. He further commented, “I do feel this is where I belong.” He elaborated, “This is my third season now, I feel I have progressed year on year and will continue to do so. I am really progressing under Nuno and I am pushing for more.” Sandi Toksvig is joined by Gyles Brandreth, Lulu, Emmanuel Sonubi and Alan Davies Grab the mic for Queen, Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, Katy Perry and more… Ben Fogle and Kate Humble are back for the festivities at Longleat Safari Park From micro plastics in our air, soil, and waterways, to the extent of food waste at this time of year © 2024 BBC.
