Cardiff City head coach Iain Darbyshire lauded another “huge three points” after his team secured a 4-1 victory against Wrexham on Sunday. The current champions hold a two-point advantage at the top of the Adran Premier standings, having experienced only one loss this season, which occurred during the south Wales derby against Swansea City. In Leckwith, a goal from Laura Curnock and a Ffion Price penalty established a first-half lead for the Bluebirds, followed by strikes from Mikayla Cook and Lily Billingham after the interval. Darbyshire commented, “I still think our team is growing. We’re still learning about each other and there’s so much that we’re still figuring out.” He added, “We’re ticking off the games one by one and improving every week. There are going to be ups and downs, but you can see that we’re going in the right direction.” The Bluebirds’ next fixture is a top-of-the-table match against The New Saints, scheduled for Saturday, 8 December, at 14:00 GMT, at Park Hall. The Saints will be seeking to avenge their sole defeat of the season, a 1-0 loss to Cardiff on 29 September.
