Former Everton player Leon Osman has commented that Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, currently displaying excellent form, has “really matured.” After recovering from an early season injury, Jones has recently flourished under the guidance of new Reds boss Arne Slot, having scored once and provided four assists this season. His impressive performances have propelled the 23-year-old into the England squad, presenting him with the chance to earn his first senior cap for the Three Lions during their upcoming Nations League matches against Greece and the Republic of Ireland. “He has really matured,” Osman informed BBC Radio 5 Live’s Football Daily. “When he first burst on the scene a couple of seasons back, he was still a child by appearances, although he was showing the quality he had. But he has now become a man.” Osman further elaborated, “He has become a lot more physical, he looks grown up [and] he is now showing the quality as well.” He stressed the significance of Jones’s current form, stating, “The important thing is he is a player in form and we always say we want to see those players who are not only top quality but in form, being given the opportunity to get their caps and to represent the country.” Osman concluded by asserting, “If you are talking about form players across the league, he has got to be right at the top of the conversation.” Post navigation Transfer Rumors: West Ham Faces Competition for Pulisic, Eyes McAtee, and Aims to Retain Kudus Assessing Managerial Transitions at Arsenal and Manchester United
