“You never know what could happen.” This sentiment was expressed by former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Mark Crossley during his appearance on BBC Radio Nottingham’s Shut Up and Show More Football podcast, where he discussed the Reds’ strong beginning to the current season. Crossley, who was part of the Forest team that secured a third-place finish in the top flight during the 1994-95 season, stated that “all the foundations are there” for the present squad to achieve similar success. He reflected on his own experience, saying, “We didn’t think that we would finish third in the Premier League, no way.” He then added, “But once you get into a bit of momentum, like the boys are doing now, and the manager has got a real grip of them, you never know what could happen.” He further elaborated on the team’s current strengths, noting, “When you have the confidence, you’ve got a striker in form, a goalkeeper playing well, a back four that look organised and a midfield that look fantastic… all the foundations are there. Let’s just keep hoping the team continue performing.” Nuno Espirito Santo’s side is scheduled to play a resurgent Newcastle at home before the international break. Following this, they face away trips to title challengers Manchester City and Arsenal, concluding with a home fixture against Ipswich Town. Crossley concluded by highlighting the importance of these upcoming matches, stating, “If we can come out of the next four games with a decent amount of points then we are there.” Post navigation Josh Adams’ Double Try Performance Secures Cardiff’s Victory Over Cheetahs Rangers Defeat St Mirren 2-1: Audience Feedback Requested
