A paddock located in Hartley, close to New Ash Green, has been the site of a theft involving two horses and a foal. Kent Police indicated that the incident is believed to have occurred during the night, specifically between 17:30 on Thursday and 07:00 GMT on Friday. Authorities stated that the animals were taken from an area adjacent to Church Road, with entry gained by damaging fencing. It is suspected they were then guided through fields to Ask Road and subsequently loaded into a horsebox positioned outside the Royal Oak pub. Descriptions provided state that two of the horses are white, one of which possesses a very long mane. The third animal is a brown foal, identifiable by a white stripe on its face. Officers have collected and are currently analysing CCTV footage from various locations. An appeal has been made for anyone with further doorbell or other security camera footage that could assist the investigation to contact the police.
