Ruby Mace has made history as the inaugural Leicester City Women player to receive a call-up to the senior England women’s national team. The 21-year-old midfielder has featured in the starting lineup for all eight of Leicester’s Women’s Super League fixtures this season and is included in the Lionesses squad slated to play against the United States and Switzerland. Mace expressed her ambition to leverage her adaptability to gain a place in the England squad and ultimately establish herself in her favoured role. “For sure, having that versatility in your game helps a lot, especially when you just want to play and be on the pitch,” she stated. “It’s a nice feeling to know you’re trusted in a few positions. I like the defensive midfield role. I think I can showcase myself the best in that position.” She added, “Hopefully I can learn more and more to try to cement that position.” Post navigation Southampton Manager Russell Martin Shares Post-Victory Relief and Gratitude Key Statistics from the Olympiakos 1-1 Rangers Match
