The MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards were held in Inverness on Saturday night. The album of the year prize was posthumously bestowed upon Eamonn Nugent, an Irish musician based in Glasgow. The 31-year-old bodhrán player passed away in October following a diagnosis of a brain tumour. Among other recipients was Glasgow harpist Ciorstaidh Beaton, who received the musician of the year award. Copyright 2024 BBC. All rights reserved.
