Film locations throughout South Kesteven will be presented to industry professionals in an effort to enhance the district’s appeal. This initiative is part of the South Kesteven District Council’s (SKDC) Set-Jetting project, which includes a screen networking event scheduled for February 24, 2025, at the Stamford Corn Exchange. Attendees at the event, such as producers, crew members, location managers, and commissioners, will receive a film proposition brochure that outlines potential filming sites throughout the district. Ashley Baxter, leader of SKDC, stated that the council aims to “encourage new and returning film-makers and production companies” to the district. Baxter further commented, “Beautiful South Kesteven is already a famously film-friendly district.” He continued, “We know tourists love to visit film locations and this is a great opportunity for us to help them to do so.” He concluded by saying, “It’s an area with huge potential for filming and we want to hear about potential sites and buildings that we can add to our offer.” Lincolnshire County Council is managing this project, which is supported by a £55,000 grant from SKDC’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund. SKDC announced that additional information regarding the event will be made available shortly.
