An individual has received a 12-month prison sentence following a street assault that resulted in a woman suffering “excruciating” pain and two fractured ribs. According to police, Nehemiah Brown, residing at Devizes Road, Holbrook, Wiltshire, confessed to punching and kicking the woman in the face. This occurred after a loud verbal argument in the street. An off-duty officer observed the event, which took place on 25 July. During his arrest, the 36-year-old individual also attempted to incite his three large dogs to attack the officers. In addition to the custodial sentence, Brown was issued a five-year restraining order at Salisbury Crown Court on 22 November. A statement from Brown’s victim, read aloud in court, conveyed: “After the assault, I was confused at what had just happened and just wanted to seek refuge in order to get away from him.” She further stated that she initially believed her injuries from the attack were limited to her face. However, she subsequently experienced an inability to sleep due to “excruciating” back pain, which was attributed to two fractured ribs. She specified that this pain resulted from her attacker having “kicked me in the back as I tried to escape from him after he had grabbed me by the hair and repeatedly punched me to the face”. PC Lo Bianco, a representative of Wiltshire Police, commented: “This was a brazen and serious assault that took place in public in broad daylight. I’m glad we could get a great result for the victim and ensuring she can rebuild her life.” Post navigation Tributes Offered Following Woman’s Death at Nightclub Man pleads not guilty to charges after infant’s death in collision
