An initiative aimed at assisting individuals facing difficulties in purchasing Christmas gifts is scheduled for this weekend. The Cleethorpes Toy Swap has been established by the organizers of the Mums in Cleethorpes and Surrounding Areas Facebook group, Project Reloved, and the Dads & Diapers support group, with the intention of alleviating expenses for families during the upcoming festive season. The event is scheduled to occur at the Cleethorpes Scout Hut, located on Albert Road, from 12:00 until 14:00 GMT on Saturday. Vic Nunn, representing Project Reloved, stated: “A toy swap is just perfect for Christmas time, helping any families out from any background.” Ms. Nunn further commented: “We don’t ask questions, it’s just there for anyone who needs it.” Contributions can also be made in advance of the event at designated drop-off locations: the Haverstoe Park pavilion or the Uniform Hut. Ms. Nunn mentioned that they have already received some “beautiful donations,” including items such as toy kitchens and tool benches. Both new and unwanted second-hand toys continue to be accepted. This complimentary event is accessible to all who wish to attend and acquire items for their children for Christmas.
