Police units were dispatched to the Co-op on Beckhampton Road, in Bestwood, shortly before 17:30 GMT on Sunday, after receiving a report of a group fight potentially involving weapons. Nottinghamshire Police stated that suspects initially fled the scene; however, three 16-year-old boys were subsequently apprehended on suspicion of affray. One of the boys received medical treatment at a hospital for a minor hand injury before being transferred to custody for questioning, as confirmed by the force. No other injuries were reported. Authorities added that investigations are currently in progress to ascertain the complete circumstances of the incident. Detective Sergeant James Hirst commented: “While we believe this to be an isolated incident, we will be providing an increased police presence in the area to provide the public with some reassurance.” He further stated: “We are speaking to a number of people in the area, but do ask anyone who has any information to make contact with us if you have not already done so.” Mr. Hirst appealed for any available CCTV, doorbell footage, or dashcam footage from the vicinity, urging anyone with relevant information to contact the force.
