Kasabian has been named as one of four English rock bands slated to headline next year’s Truck Festival. The Courteeners, Nothing But Thieves, and Bloc Party are also confirmed headliners for the event, which will be held at Hill Farm in Steventon, Oxfordshire, from July 24 to 27, 2025. Continuing the indie-rock theme, Blossoms, Franz Ferdinand, and The Last Dinner Party have also been announced. Festival organisers commented that the lineup was “like a big coming together of our favourite bands.” They expressed anticipation for the performances of “heavy hitters” Kasabian, who have achieved seven UK number one albums, and The Courteeners. Additionally, Nothing But Thieves will perform their first ever headline set at a UK festival during the weekend. Organisers further stated that “Indie icons” Bloc Party, scheduled to play on Thursday night, are “finally” bringing their “catalogue of undeniable bangers” to the Oxfordshire countryside. The full roster of acts also features Wunderhorse, Reytons, Hard Life, CMAT, Fat Dog, The Big Moon, Sports Team, Maximo Park, Corella, Alfie Templeman, Lambrini Girls, Lime Garden, Only The Poets, Luvcat, and Chloe Slater. Natasha Bedingfield, known for her song “Unwritten,” is also set to deliver a special guest performance. Festival manager Lily Brimble and head of marketing Sam Harris jointly stated: “We are incredibly excited to reveal what we’ve been working on in Truck HQ with the first details of Truck 2025.” The pair added that “2025 may just be our most complete Truck weekender to date.” The festival, which anticipates 25,000 attendees, will also feature the customary annual appearances of The Oxford Symphony Orchestra, Mr Motivator, and Barrioke, which showcases EastEnders actor Shaun Williamson, known as Barry Evans, singing karaoke classics. In 2022, Williamson gained media attention when he joined Sam Fender on the Truck stage for a duet. A pre-sale for tickets will commence at 18:00 GMT on Thursday, with general ticket sales beginning at 10:00 on Friday. The inaugural Truck Festival was conceived by brothers Robin and Joe Bennett in 1998, famously using an actual truck as its stage.
