Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson played a pivotal role in his team’s late-game resurgence, leading them to overcome a 14-point deficit and secure a 35-34 win against the Cincinnati Bengals in Maryland. The Ravens were behind 21-7 in the third quarter, but Jackson threw three touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to clinch the victory, notably a decisive five-yard pass to wide receiver Rashod Bateman with just under two minutes left on the clock. Jackson, who holds the title of the NFL’s reigning Most Valuable Player, struggled during the first half, with the Bengals limiting him to only 71 yards and one touchdown. However, the 27-year-old quarterback regained his form after the half-time interval, subsequently adding 219 yards and three touchdowns. The Bengals had a chance to win the game in the closing moments after receiver Ja’Marr Chase scored a five-yard touchdown, narrowing the gap to a single point. Despite this, quarterback Joe Burrow’s pass to Tanner Hudson on a two-point conversion attempt with 38 seconds remaining was unsuccessful, enabling the Ravens to see out the contest. The 28 points accumulated by the Ravens in the second half mark the highest score by any team after the half-time break so far this season. This outcome elevates the Ravens’ season record to 7-3, while the Bengals’ record now stands at 4-6.
