The victim informed officers that the attack occurred on a footpath located off Belvoir Road in Bottesford shortly after 11:20 GMT on Friday. Leicestershire Police confirmed that no arrests have been made, and the individual suspected of the crime had departed the vicinity before officers reached the scene. Detective Inspector Jenny Tattersall stated that the investigation is in its preliminary phases and appealed to anyone who was on the footpath – which connects Barkestone Lane and Belvoir Road – on Friday prior to midday to come forward.
