Jersey Bulls showcased a commanding performance, securing a decisive 6-0 triumph against fellow Combined Counties League Premier South high-fliers Knaphill at Springfield. The island team established a 5-0 lead within 38 minutes, extending their undefeated run under new manager Elliott Poole to 14 matches and ascending to third place in the league standings. Luke Watson put the Bulls ahead in the 10th minute, converting a penalty kick after Toby Ritzema was fouled in the area. Ritzema then doubled the lead 11 minutes later, contributing to a rapid sequence of four goals for the Bulls. James Carr powerfully struck Miguel Carvalho’s excellent 29th-minute pass to make it 3-0, followed three minutes later by Joe Kilshaw tapping in the fourth goal after Jonny Le Quesne’s unselfish assist. Harry Curtis scored the fifth goal six minutes before halftime, heading in a corner delivered by Rai Dos Santos. Rai Dos Santos then netted the sixth goal with 15 minutes remaining in the second half, marking the Bulls’ most significant victory since Elliott Poole assumed the managerial role from Gary Freeman in the summer. This result also represented the club’s eighth consecutive clean sheet, having conceded only six goals across their 14 matches this season. “That first half an hour is as good as I’ve seen our lads, I thought they were excellent,” Powell commented to BBC Radio Jersey. He added, “It’s a great day for us and a really positive performance and we’ve got two more big games this week to come now.” The Bulls are scheduled to visit league leaders Redhill on Tuesday night; Redhill currently holds a seven-point advantage over the islanders with two games in hand. Subsequently, they will compete against Bedfont Sports in the FA Vase next Saturday.
