ICM now occupies two floors within Westgate House, situated on Museum Street. According to Nikki Packham, ICM’s operations director, the organization serves nearly 300 individuals weekly. Prachi Katdare, the integration team director, noted that the charity’s former premises contained only a single teaching room capable of accommodating approximately 10 individuals, while the new facility features two distinct teaching rooms. “We are just so excited to be all together under one roof,” she explained. She also indicated that the expanded area would foster enhanced interaction both within and among various communities. “It is all about integration – people coming together and learning about each other and just understanding that everybody is just a human being.” In addition to offering more than 12 language courses weekly, ICM operates: Follow Suffolk news on BBC Sounds, Facebook, Instagram and X.Copyright 2024 BBC.
