Michael Brown, a former Manchester City midfielder, stated that Liverpool delivered a robust “all-round performance” when facing his previous team, though their man-to-man pressing strategy was what he found most notable. Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Football Daily podcast, Brown remarked, “Liverpool started fantastic,” adding that “Players were dropping in to play with great intensity, the midfielders were making great runs and trying to get shots away and the defensive pairing were winning duels.” He further commented, “They then waited and defended as City grew back into the game, and they did that really well as a team.” Brown expressed his admiration, stating, “I really like the way they press and are hungry out of possession. You have to give them the credit for an all-round good performance.” He concluded by saying, “I have been really impressed with Arne Slot’s tenure so far.” Listen to the Football Daily podcast on BBC Sounds Sandi Toksvig is joined by Gyles Brandreth, Lulu, Emmanuel Sonubi and Alan Davies Grab the mic for Queen, Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, Katy Perry and more… Ben Fogle and Kate Humble are back for the festivities at Longleat Safari Park From micro plastics in our air, soil, and waterways, to the extent of food waste at this time of year © 2024 BBC.
