Police officers are seeking information from the public regarding a two-vehicle crash in Wakefield that resulted in serious injuries to a teenage scooter operator. West Yorkshire Police reported that the incident occurred around 10:00 PM BST on Saturday, August 25, on Northfield Road, specifically at its intersection with Wakefield Road in Horbury. The vehicles involved were an 18-year-old male’s Piaggio Zip scooter and a Seat Mii car. The collision happened as the car was making a turn onto Wakefield Road. Authorities have also requested that individuals possessing dash camera footage from the vicinity at approximately the time of the incident come forward. A spokesperson for the force stated that the scooter rider is still recovering from the injuries sustained in the crash.
