A teenager is facing charges in connection with an assault on a man who sustained a serious head injury, reportedly falling onto a pavement after being punched. Essex Police reported that officers responded to Chelmsford High Street shortly before 23:55 BST on Friday. The injured party was transported to a hospital and is currently in stable condition. Authorities also identified a second individual who sustained injuries during the incident. An 18-year-old individual, who resides in Billericay, is facing charges of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The teenager, apprehended soon after the incident, is scheduled to appear before Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
