Expressions of sorrow have been shared for Kelly Badcock, a 58-year-old resident of Little Downham, who passed away after a collision between two vehicles, one of which was a lorry. Cambridgeshire Police confirmed that Ms. Badcock died at the site of the incident, which involved a Suzuki Vitara and a Volvo HGV. The crash occurred on the A142 Witchford Bypass near Ely around 16:25 GMT on 11 December. In a statement issued via the police, her family conveyed that their lives had been “ripped apart”. They characterized her as “amazing” and someone who “thought of everyone and everything before herself”. The family’s tribute read: “On Wednesday evening our world was ripped apart by the sudden death of our wonderful mum. We are completely heartbroken as a family and life will never be the same again. For anyone who knew mum, you will know just how amazing she was. Mum was the best wife, the best nanny and the best friend to so many. She thought of everyone and everything before herself and we are all at such a loss.” The police force has issued an appeal for individuals possessing information regarding the crash to contact them. It was noted that the driver of the HGV sustained no injuries and has cooperated with officers during their investigation.
