Charges have been brought against an individual in connection with the death of a three-week-old infant following a road accident. West Mercia Police reported that Craig Nunn, aged 39, faces a charge of causing death by dangerous driving in relation to the fatal incident, which occurred on the A451 around 00:10 BST on Saturday. The collision involved a black Ford Focus and a black Suzuki Vitara, taking place between Kidderminster and Stourport within Worcestershire. The infant, who was a passenger in the Suzuki, was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Nunn, whose address is Sandy Lane, Stourport, also faces a charge of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He is scheduled to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday. A man and a woman, both in their 20s and also occupants of the Suzuki, were transported to a hospital for medical attention. Their injuries were not considered to be life-threatening. Officers stated on Sunday that Mr. Nunn, who was driving the Ford Focus, sustained no injuries in the collision. “A young baby boy has tragically died and our thoughts are very much with the baby’s parents and wider family at this incredibly distressing time,” stated Insp Steph Arrowsmith.
