Due to strong winds affecting the Irish Sea, evening ferry crossings between the Isle of Man and Lancashire have been called off. The Isle of Man Steam Packet confirmed the cancellation of the Manxman’s 19:45 GMT sailing to Heysham Port and the 02:15 overnight return trip. Services are projected to restart on Wednesday morning, commencing with the 08:45 crossing to the Lancashire port. Authorities have issued a yellow weather warning, valid until 03:00 on Wednesday, citing concerns for coastal overtopping due to strong to gale force winds. On the island, areas deemed “at risk” include Shore Road, Castletown promenade, and the northern part of Douglas promenade.
