Police have charged a 47-year-old man with attempted murder following their investigation into a serious assault on another man in County Antrim. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening in Irish Quarter West, Carrickfergus. Emergency services, including police and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, responded to the scene. The injured man was transported to a hospital to receive treatment for head and body injuries. The arrest of the individual took place on Thursday. He is scheduled to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Friday. In line with standard practice, the Public Prosecution Service will review all charges.
