Swansea City’s midfielder, Jay Fulton, will be out of action until the international break in November, having sustained a calf injury. The 30-year-old Fulton, who has played in nine matches this season, did not participate in Saturday’s 2-1 victory against Oxford United. Swansea head coach Luke Williams stated, “Jay has picked up an injury, just in straight-line running,” adding, “He is going to need a period to heal, he is going to be sidelined probably for a couple of weeks.” Fulton’s injury represents one part of a dual setback for Swansea, following the loss of Ollie Cooper, whose issue is described as more severe. Williams’ team is scheduled to host Watford on Tuesday and will travel to Burnley on Sunday, November 10. The team is set to resume play with a home match against Leeds on Sunday, November 24, a date by which Fulton anticipates being fit to return.
