Goalkeeper Conor Hazard has resumed training following a three-month absence due to an ankle injury. Manager Wayne Rooney stated he is evaluating his goalkeeping selections now that Hazard has regained full fitness. The Northern Ireland international was listed as a substitute for the Pilgrims’ 2-1 home defeat against Swansea City on Tuesday, having been sidelined for three months following ankle surgery. Since then, Dan Grimshaw has featured in every minute of play, with short-term acquisition Marko Marosi serving as backup. Rooney conveyed to BBC Radio Devon, “He’s [Marosi] been fantastic for the group. His attitude to training has been fantastic, and it was tough to leave him out on Tuesday. He has been really good for us, for the group.” He further added regarding Hazard’s return, “But Conor’s come back into the squad. It’s a decision I have to make whether Conor plays or Grimmy plays. Grimmy obviously played the last game, and I don’t think he did much wrong in the game if I’m honest, but it’s good to have options.” Post navigation Hearts Coach Neil Critchley Reflects on 2-1 Victory Against St Johnstone PGMOL Responds to New Allegations Against David Coote with Seriousness
