Law enforcement officials have apprehended three individuals following multiple assaults that occurred across three different public houses. According to police statements, three individuals sustained injuries during these occurrences in Newark, Nottinghamshire, spanning from Saturday to Sunday. The three men, whose ages are 19, 26, and 43, were taken into custody under suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm without intent. Authorities further stated that the 19-year-old faces additional charges, being arrested on suspicion of two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, whereas the remaining two men were also apprehended on suspicion of affray. The initial assault, as reported by police, took place in a beer garden close to Market Place around 22:55 GMT on Saturday, where a man was struck on the head with either a bottle or a glass following a “brief altercation”. Subsequently, a second altercation was reported just after 23:00 outside a pub located in Kirk Gate, during which a man was assaulted by multiple individuals and “hit repeatedly with a chair”. Later, during the early hours of Sunday, law enforcement was notified of a third violent occurrence within a pub situated on Castle Gate. According to authorities, an employee at that pub received a slap to the face when a group of patrons was requested to vacate the establishment.
