A 53-year-old man has died following a three-vehicle collision on the A720 near Edinburgh. Emergency services were dispatched to the location between the Gogar roundabout and Hermiston Gait on Thursday morning, responding to reports of a crash on the city bypass. The incident involved a grey Volkswagen campervan, a grey Volkswagen Tiguan, and a red Vauxhall Corsa. The male driver of the Corsa was transported to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where he passed away a short time later. The driver of the Tiguan was taken to hospital with minor injuries, while the driver of the campervan sustained no injuries. Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing, and police have requested that anyone who witnessed the collision or possesses dash-cam footage make contact.
