A classic luxury vehicle, previously owned by Madonna, is scheduled for auction. The Queen of Pop, according to auctioneers, acquired the rare 1967 Jaguar Mark X 4.2 three years ago for her son Rocco, selling it a year later. The automobile will be offered for sale at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge, Surrey, this Saturday, carrying an estimated valuation ranging from £16,000 to £22,000. Matthew Priddy of Historics Auctioneers noted that Madonna “used the car for photo shoots” and “was seen in it in and around London”. Mr Priddy commented: “This car is interesting because of who owned it.” He also stated: “It could sell for significantly more than the estimate.” Auctioneers describe the Jaguar as a “rare 4.2 example that was only in production for two years”. Madonna conducted a photoshoot with the vehicle, sharing the resulting images on her Instagram account. The same auction event will also feature the sale of a 1925 Ford Model T two-seat runabout, which has appeared in both cinema and television productions. Its credits include films like Fantastic Beasts and Wicked Little Letters, as well as period television dramas such as Downton Abbey and Mr Selfridge. This vehicle carries an estimated selling price of £15,000-£20,000.
