A woman and her three dogs, who became isolated by the incoming tide during the evening, have been successfully rescued by a lifeboat. The group was stranded in Thornham, Norfolk, on Friday, with RNLI lifeboat volunteers receiving reports of their predicament at approximately 16:15 GMT. The fast inshore vessel, Spirit of West Norfolk, was deployed from Hunstanton, situated approximately five miles (8km) away. The 71-year-old woman and her animals were subsequently located and safely transported to the shore at Thornham Harbour, where HM Coastguard personnel were awaiting to assist them.
