A male individual has passed away in a hospital following an incident where the car he was operating veered off the road and impacted a residential property. Emergency responders were dispatched to Ellacombe Road in Longwell Green, South Gloucestershire, shortly after 13:30 GMT on Wednesday. Avon and Somerset Police reported that members of the public offered assistance, and paramedics provided medical treatment to the man; however, he died subsequent to his transfer to a hospital. Authorities further stated that the man is believed to be in his 80s, but his identity has not yet been formally confirmed. He had been driving a grey Honda Civic, which was the sole vehicle involved in the occurrence. There were no passengers accompanying him in the car. Ellacombe Road was closed to facilitate investigative work and the recovery of the vehicle, but it was reopened to traffic around 17:00 GMT. Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
