Law enforcement officials have announced charges against an individual for child exploitation and the distribution of Class A drugs. Lewis Morton, residing at Fairford Crescent in Swindon, presented himself before Swindon Magistrates’ Court following what Wiltshire Police described as a “complex investigation.” Authorities further stated that the 23-year-old individual also faces charges related to compelling a person to engage in forced or compulsory labor. Detective Constable Will Saunders indicated that the inquiry pertained to “child exploitation and the subsequent drugs supply within the local community.” Furthermore, officers reported that he was charged with lifetime prohibited possession of an air weapon, alongside four counts of weapon possession, which included push daggers and a zombie knife. Det Con Saunders highlighted that indicators of exploitation included unexplained financial assets, gifts, and the ownership of numerous mobile phones. He defined, “Child exploitation is the grooming and/or enslavement of children and young people for the purposes of making money through selling drugs, other illicit items, and sexual exploitation.” He added, “Criminal gangs, often known as county line gangs, recruit and groom young people to transport and deliver drugs.” Post navigation Retired Police Dog Returns Home for Holidays Following Charity-Funded Surgery Woman’s Death in ‘Aggressive’ Relationship Under Scrutiny in Court
