M62 Reopens After Multi-Vehicle Collision Leads to Eight-Mile Traffic Jam

A motorway has completely resumed normal operation following a multi-vehicle collision that led to traffic disruptions. On Wednesday afternoon and into the early evening, two lanes on the eastbound carriageway of the M62, located near Goole, were closed for several hours. National Highways reported that the occurrence, situated between junctions 34 and 35, resulted in 90-minute delays and an eight-mile queue of traffic approaching the lane closures. Initially, both directions of the motorway were shut down while emergency personnel responded to the site.
