Police are seeking a man following an incident where he reportedly attempted to push over a mobility scooter while it was in use. The individual operating the electric vehicle was also subjected to verbal abuse, kicks, and shoves as they traveled through Harrogate, as reported by North Yorkshire Police. The event took place on October 31 on Knaresborough Road, specifically between Drake’s fish and chip shop and the pedestrian crossing near Jesmond Road. The male suspect reportedly became aggressive and pursued the victim to the crossing before attempting to overturn the mobility aid with the rider still seated. A female suspect was also involved in the verbal abuse. Authorities have expressed their desire to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or who may possess relevant dashcam footage. The force also indicated an interest in hearing from a person who stopped to assist the victim.
