AFC Wimbledon manager Johnnie Jackson has been issued a misconduct charge by the Football Association. This action follows his side’s contentious 2-2 home draw against Newport County. Jackson received a red card from referee Lee Swabey due to his protests after Newport was awarded a penalty in stoppage time. The penalty was given for a foul by Huseyin Biler on Kyle Jameson. Shane McLoughlin subsequently scored from the spot, securing a point for the visiting team. The outcome meant the Dons, who had held a 2-0 lead, fell out of the League Two play-off positions. Jackson is required to respond to the charge by Tuesday, 10 December.
