Keiran Evers, identified as a “repeat offender” and having no fixed abode, has been handed a nine-month prison sentence. The conviction stems from his possession of a knife and a Class B drug in a public area. Wiltshire Police reported that Evers was apprehended on Edgeware Road, Swindon, at 1:50 GMT on 19 December, found to be carrying a large kitchen knife and herbal cannabis. The 28-year-old’s suspicious conduct was initially noted by Swindon Borough Council CCTV operators, which led to his arrest. He was sentenced the following day, on 20 December, at Swindon Magistrates’ Court. Evers’ apprehension was made by officers on patrol as part of Wiltshire Police’s annual Operation Dasher, an initiative aimed at safeguarding shoppers and businesses throughout the festive period. PC Paul Bezzant issued a statement regarding the case: “Evers is a repeat offender for carrying weapons and I’m pleased he will now spend time behind bars for it.” He further emphasized, “There can be no place in society for carrying knives and other bladed articles – the consequences of doing so, as we have sadly seen, can be lifelong.” Post navigation Fire Engines Attacked with Bricks and Fireworks Seven Men Imprisoned Following Armed Confrontation at Kabaddi Event
