A charity fun run in Cornwall saw hundreds of individuals dressed as Father Christmas take part. Nearly 800 participants, wearing the distinctive red and white costume, completed a 2-kilometer (1.2-mile) circular course around the Eden Project. The event was organized to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West. This charity provides hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and manages three hospices, including Little Bridge House in Devon and Little Harbour in Cornwall. Event organizers reported that the run generated approximately £30,000. Additional fundraising will occur on December 7 with the charity’s ‘Santas on a bike’ event, involving hundreds more Santas. These motorbiking Santas will journey from Lee Mill in Devon to the Little Harbour children’s hospice in St Austell. Spectators are invited to watch the bikers along their route, but are asked to refrain from gathering at the finish point at Little Harbour due to space constraints.
