Armed police have taken two men into custody after receiving reports of multiple individuals threatening each other with weapons. Gloucestershire Police officers were dispatched to Reddings Road in Cheltenham just after 13:00 GMT on Wednesday. Two men, aged 21 and 31, have been arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with the event and remain in police custody. Police indicated that it is believed the men had made threats while in possession of wooden garden posts, and the force has appealed for witnesses to come forward. Two individuals were reported to have departed the scene in a vehicle, which was subsequently found on Bath Road, with the men arrested soon after. “Officers from the Cheltenham Neighbourhood Policing team will be taking part in high visibility reassurance patrols and anyone who witnessed what happened on Reddings Road is asked to make contact,” the force stated.
