Woman Released on Bail in East Grinstead Murder Inquiry

An individual taken into custody following the discovery of a deceased man at a residence in East Grinstead has been granted bail. Sussex Police officers were dispatched to Paddock Gardens on Thursday around 19:45 GMT, responding to an alert concerning a “domestic incident.” Paramedics provided medical attention to a 61-year-old man, who was subsequently pronounced dead at the location. The police service confirmed that his next of kin have been informed. The 69-year-old woman, identified as an acquaintance of the deceased man, received conditional bail on Sunday, having been apprehended on suspicion of murder. Det Ch Insp Jon Gillings stated: “This remains an active investigation, and our officers are working around the clock to establish the exact circumstances of the victim’s tragic death.” He added, “In the meantime, I would urge the public to refrain from speculating.” Authorities are requesting that anyone possessing relevant information come forward and contact them.
