Ulster champions Clann Eireann have been eliminated from the All-Ireland Club Championship semi-finals following a defeat by the reigning champions, Kilkerrin-Clonberne. The final score was 2-11 to 1-9 in favor of Kilkerrin-Clonberne. The Galway and Connacht champions, Kilkerrin-Clonberne, established an early lead and maintained it throughout the match in Lurgan. Aisling Madden and Ailish Morrissey each scored goals in the first half. Although Niamh Henderson and Niamh Murray contributed to bring Clann Eireann back into contention after Kilkerrin-Clonberne’s initial surge, the holders ultimately proved too strong. Madden secured her goal with a low shot into the Clann Eireann net during the 19th minute, and Morrissey added a second goal, contributing to Kilkerrin-Clonberne’s substantial half-time advantage of 2-6 to 0-3. In the second half, Niamh Murray converted a penalty for the Armagh team, concluding the game with a personal tally of 1-6. However, this was insufficient for Clann Eireann, who exit the competition despite having previously secured both the Armagh and Ulster titles. Kilkerrin-Clonberne is now pursuing their fourth consecutive All-Ireland title. They are scheduled to compete against Kilmacud Crokes in the final, a rematch of the 2023 championship game, at Croke Park on Saturday, 14 December.
