An individual involved in drug dealing, found to be carrying a kitchen knife concealed in his trousers, has been incarcerated for a period of two years and eight months. Callum Schooling attempted to flee from law enforcement personnel after they observed a gathering of individuals suspected of drug dealing and drug use close to a playpark situated on Church Street in Chesterton, Cambridgeshire. Following a brief pursuit on foot, authorities reported that Schooling was apprehended with a knife, a mobile phone, over £600 in currency, and five new pairs of sunglasses in his possession. Schooling, aged 22, residing at Talbot Way in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, received his sentence at Cambridge Crown Court on Tuesday. This occurred after he admitted guilt to charges of conspiracy to supply cocaine and possession of a bladed article. Neighbourhood police officers stated that they observed a large red knife tucked into the waistband of Schooling’s trousers during the event in June. Furthermore, officers retrieved a second mobile phone that he had disposed of. Police Constable Will Lovell commented: “This sentence reflects the serious nature of both drug dealing and carrying a weapon.” He added, “Thanks to the team’s work, he is now off the streets. We hope this serves as a reminder that drug dealing is not tolerated in our county.”
