Dylan McGeouch, who has appeared in only 25 games for Carlisle since joining the club in the summer of 2023, and fellow Carlisle United player Josh Vela are both anticipated to be out of action for a minimum of two months due to injuries. Both individuals exited the field prematurely during the home defeat against Chesterfield last Saturday. Medical scans have confirmed that McGeouch, a 31-year-old Scot, sustained a hamstring injury, while Vela, also 31, suffered a calf injury. Carlisle currently occupies the bottom position in League Two. They are level on points with Morecambe but have scored fewer goals than the Lancashire-based club. The match against Chesterfield marked McGeouch’s first start since September; however, he was substituted shortly after the hour mark. Head coach Mike Williamson commented, “It’s really disappointing and frustrating,” adding, “Dylan’s been brilliant in training, brilliant around the place, a really infectious character and we wanted him to have that same influence on the pitch.” He concluded, “But it’s a significant hamstring issue.” Post navigation Hearts Defender Stephen Kingsley Faces Season-Ending Surgery Ross County ‘Confident’ of Ending Away Winless Streak, Says Brown
