Two Identified Following Deadly Car Accident in Cemetery

Police have released the names of two individuals who died after the car they were traveling in struck a tree within a cemetery. Marcus Ball and Zoe Simpson, both 33 years old, passed away when the silver Volkswagen Polo they occupied crashed in the grounds of Scholemoor Cemetery, located off Birks Fold, around 05:00 GMT on Thursday. In a statement issued by his family, Mr. Ball was described as “the most lovely caring man, who lit up the room when he walked in”. Law enforcement officials appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident, observed the vehicle in the vicinity directly before the collision, or possessed any footage potentially beneficial to the inquiry, to make contact.
