Northern Ireland to Host Euro 2025 Play-off First Leg at Inver Park

The Northern Ireland national team is scheduled to host Norway in the initial leg of their Euro 2025 second-round play-off match at Inver Park. Coach Tanya Oxtoby’s team has contested four of its five home matches this year at Windsor Park, and one at Mourneview Park. However, both stadiums are unavailable for the upcoming fixture because of Irish Premiership games scheduled for the following Saturday. Specifically, Linfield will host Portadown at Windsor, and Glenavon will welcome Coleraine to Mourneview. The last time Northern Ireland competed at Inver Park, which features a 3G playing surface, was in September 2021. On that occasion, they secured a 4-0 victory over Luxembourg in a World Cup qualifier. The team advanced to the second round of the play-offs following Lauren Wade’s extra-time goal, which secured their progression past Croatia in the second leg held at Windsor on Tuesday evening.
