Following an emphatic 6-3 triumph against MK Dons, which concluded their six-game winless streak in League Two, Nelson Jardim expressed his belief that there is “much more to come” from his Newport County team. Bryn Morris and Bobby Kamwa each scored hat-tricks, securing the Exiles their seventh league victory of the season and positioning Newport within five points of the play-off spots. Despite this, Jardim believes his squad has the potential for continued development during their inaugural season under his management. The Portuguese coach stated, “We did have good wins but obviously you want to see games like that [against MK Dons],” adding, “The way I see football is what happened here today.” He further commented, “We are still growing and trying to find our way but I hope there’s much more to come and I’m sure there will be.” Jardim emphasized the importance of maintaining perspective and striving for betterment, stating, “We have to keep our feet on the ground and try to improve because I hope there’s much more to come.” He concluded by noting, “I think we are doing well as a squad. I urge everyone to keep going and improve because football is ups and downs.”
