Leicester City’s left-back, Victor Kristiansen, has stated that the squad has demonstrated “great spirit and mentality” by recovering to secure points in recent fixtures. This season, the Foxes have conceded the opening goal in eight of their 10 Premier League encounters, yet they have managed to rally for four victories and three draws. Notably, a goal scored late in added time during their match last weekend against fellow promoted club Ipswich Town secured them a draw. “It’s not been going our way in the first 10 games, but we have shown a great spirit and mentality of trying to come back,” the Denmark international informed BBC East Midlands. He added, “Sometimes it happens, but sometimes we sit in the dressing room afterwards frustrated with how we started the game.” Kristiansen further elaborated, “In life when you fall down, you really learn how to pick yourself up and we have shown that.” He concluded, “Now is about staying on top of that and not going behind, but we know that when we go behind we know how to pick ourselves up.” Despite a delayed first win upon their return to the top flight, Leicester currently occupies 15th position in the league standings after 10 matches, maintaining a five-point lead over the relegation zone. Kristiansen believes that the presence of several players with prior experience in the league will be beneficial for the team’s objective of avoiding relegation this season. “The majority of the team has great Premier League experience,” he stated. “I think it gives some kind of comfort within the team.” He continued, “There are players that have tried it before, been to the big stadiums before, tried to play up against the dominating teams, so it is about taking the experience from those guys.”
