A vehicle collided with and penetrated the facade of an Iceland supermarket situated on a high street in the West Midlands, ultimately stopping within the retail premises. Bearwood Road, located in Bearwood, Smethwick, was subsequently closed after the event, which occurred approximately at 19:55 GMT. The supermarket’s business operations had already concluded for the day, based on its publicly displayed opening times. The fire department, having dispatched two units to the site, confirmed that no individuals required extraction. Officers from West Midlands Police were also present at the location. National Express West Midlands reported that five bus routes had been rerouted and issued an apology for any disruption experienced by commuters.
