Former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva has conveyed his astonishment regarding Chelsea’s strong performance this season under the management of Enzo Maresca. Speaking on the Planet Premier League podcast, Silva stated: “Honestly, I was not expecting them to react so well because a lot of things have been going on in the club.” He further elaborated, stating: “A new manager came in and with that you never know how it’s going to be with the reaction of the players. The answer to that is on the pitch. It seems that it’s working well.” Silva concluded his observations by saying: “It’s a hard job and along with the managing staff, they have had to work very hard to put the club in the position they are at the moment in the table.”
