An individual involved in drug dealing has been incarcerated for over 11 years following the discovery of a significant quantity of illicit substances and currency at his residence. Ifsar Gulzar, who resides on Durkhill Road in Bradford, was apprehended after law enforcement officers executed a warrant on February 26. During the operation, officers located Class A drugs with an approximate street value of £1 million, alongside £35,000 in cash. Gulzar, 26, pleaded guilty to three charges of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs—specifically crack, cocaine, and heroin—as well as possessing criminal property and money laundering. His sentencing took place at Bradford Crown Court on December 6, where he received a prison term of 11 years and 10 months. Det Insp Helen Chapman of Bradford’s Precision Team stated: “We welcome the lengthy sentence handed down to Gulzar.” “He had a significant role in fuelling streets across Bradford with drugs.” “This operation shows our commitment to tackling serious and organised crime across the district.” “My team have taken a significant amount of drugs off the streets which will make our communities safer.” “We regularly see the harm that Class A drugs cause both to the induvial users and to our communities where they fuel crime and anti-social behaviour that impacts on ordinary people’s lives.” “We hope this significant prison sentence will serve to reassure the community and send a very clear message to those who think they can get away with profiting from this criminal trade.” For highlights from West Yorkshire, listeners can tune into BBC Sounds, watch the most recent episode of Look North, or propose a story for consideration.
