North Yorkshire Police have clarified that an animal carcass discovered at a waste recycling facility, initially reported as a dead “horse,” was actually a deer. Employees at the Ripon site alerted authorities to what they believed was the body of a horse or pony, prompting the police force to issue a public appeal for information on Tuesday. On Wednesday, police provided an update, stating: “Following further investigations, the animal remains have been identified as a deer. We are no longer appealing for information.” According to information on the North Yorkshire Council’s website, “Dead animals cannot be accepted at any of our household waste recycling centres.” Post navigation 71-Year-Old Man Dies in Hospital Following Two-Vehicle Collision Octogenarian Woman Dies in Stoke-on-Trent House Fire
