The family of Raad Asmael, 27, who died after being shot inside a vehicle in Birmingham, has honored him as a cherished husband and father. Mr. Asmael was discovered injured on Rotton Park Road, near its intersection with City Road in Edgbaston, on Friday just before 23:00 GMT. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. West Midlands Police reported that another individual, located injured at a bus stop, remains hospitalized in stable condition. A man in his 30s, who had been taken into custody on suspicion of murder, has since been released without charge. In a statement disseminated by the police, Mr. Asmael’s family conveyed: “Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed to him we shall return. Our beloved husband, son, father and brother.” The police force is urging anyone who witnessed the incident or possesses dashcam or mobile phone footage from the vicinity at the time to contact them.
